You and your friends spend the summer on the beach. You search for shells and then build a sandcastle. When you wake up in the morning, you’re in a life-sized version of the sandcastle. You reach out to touch the wall, and it crumbles under your fingertips. A hermit crab wearing one of the shells you buried crawls out of the sandy floor.
