Suddenly, you notice an unnatural quiet. You look around and notice the ride operator has vanished along with all the people that had been in line before you got on the ride. What happened?

You reach out to touch the wall, and it crumbles under your fingertips. A hermit crab wearing one of the shells you buried crawls out of the sandy floor.
